The JDS Group Pty. Limited (JDS) is a design, construction and engineering company undertaking a wide variety of Quality Assured / Controlled major and minor contracts, primarily for State and Federal Governments and Local Government clients, throughout NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
Contracts undertaken by JDS vary in size from $20,000 to > $10.57 Million dollars.
All contractual works are operated through the company’s “Integrated Management System” (IMS) with 3rd party accreditation by BSi Group Pty Ltd and annual 3rd party auditing. The company also has an accredited and certified Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2008, Health & Safety to AS / NZS 4801:2001 and an Environmental Management System to ISO 14001:2004.
JDS has sought, and been granted, pre-qualification with many State Government Departments Semi Government Departments and also Local Government Councils.
No matter the size of the contract, JDS adopts a no compromise “Best Practice” approach to all its projects and this reflects in repeat business with its clientele.
In 2007 JDS established a formal legal “Joint Venture Partnership” (JVP) with another well respected (Civil / Engineering and Transport) company with whom JDS had been continuously working with on all of its major contracts since 2003. The establishment of this JVP has significantly enhanced JDS’s business acumen, both in capacity to undertake much larger contracts and to undertake most contracts with its combined “in house” resources.
The “JVP” is with NM & AA Foley Contracting Pty Ltd (NFC) of Brisbane Qld and Young NSW. This “JVP” has provided specialist personnel and resources not previously available to JDS except through subcontractor agreements.
In 2009 JDS invited Michael Foley, son of Neville and Amanda Foley (Owners of NFC) into the JVP arrangement with his newly formed company DKMR Contracting Pty Ltd (DKMR). Michael has been a Senior Overseer since 2007 and over the last two years his role has been upgraded to Site Manager on minor and major contracts. Commensurate with his new role in the company his responsibilities have increased significantly..
The new JVP has allowed JDS to again expand its business ventures with head office and a depot and workshop located at Cooma in NSW, regional office located at Mount Cotton in Queensland and depots and fabrication workshops in Young and Adaminaby, New South Wales. Other works depots are located in Batemans Bay, NSW, Ormeau and Loganholme QLD.
JDS, NFC and DKMR have had extensive experience in most forms of civil and engineering projects over many years, undertaking a wide and diverse range of formal contracts.
Up to date with all forms of “IT”, JDS operates; Microsoft Office, AutoCad, CivilCad, 3D Office, Benchmark Estimating, Cordell’s Estimating, MYOB, Video and Photographic Software(s) amongst other software.
